Foodstuff recalls swirl lollypops

6:53 am on 28 December 2008

There has been a nationwide recall of an imported lollypop after a customer reported finding a large metal tack imbedded in the sweet.

Foodstuffs says a complaint to a Pak'nSave store in Napier sparked the recall.

The company which represents Pak'nSave, New World and Four Square, says large swirl lollypops have now been removed from its shelves.

People who have bought the lollypops can return them for a refund. They were imported by Universal Traders.
