Telecom closed down 3c to $2.35. Contact Energy gained 4c to $5.60. Fletcher Building gained 5c to $5.31.
The Warehouse lost 7c after posting its half-year profit. Sky City closed unchanged at $2.66. Infratil lost 3c to close at $1.52.
The Australian stock market closed slightly lower in mostly flat trading as Australia's unemployment rate hit a four-year high.
The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 8.9 points, or 0.27% lower, at 3235.5 while the broader All Ordinaries index dipped 8.7 points, or 0.27% to 3190.4.
On the Sydney Futures Exchange, the March share price index futures contract was 18 points higher at 3247 on a volume of 23,506 contracts.
Japanese share prices closed down 2.41% on Thursday as investors took profits after the previous day's powerful rally off a 26-year low, dealers said.
The Nikkei-225 index dropped 177.87 points to end at 7,198.25, a day after soaring 4.55%.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares slipped 21.35 points, or 2.96%, to 700.93.
