Slightly stronger global equity markets have continued to buoy the New Zealand dollar.
At midday on Tuesday, the New Zealand dollar was just under 53 US cents, reaching its highest level since early February.
It had been higher in offshore trading, near 53.4 US cents, before falling as Wall Street declined.
The New Zealand dollar also rose against the Australian dollar, Japanese yen and the euro.
