Legal argument in Bain retrial

9:06 pm on 27 April 2009

Legal argument is continuing in the David Bain retrial in the High Court in Christchurch, with the jury not expected to sit on Monday.

David Bain, 37, is accused of shooting his parents Robin and Margaret and siblings Arawa, Laniet and Stephen at the family home in Dunedin on 20 June, 1994.

He denies the charges and says his father Robin was the real killer who later turned the gun on himself.

The trial is now into its eighth week.
