The Ravensdown fertiliser co-operative has announced it is dropping the price of some of its products for the third time this year, thanks to falling commodity prices.
The direct debit price of superphosphate is $392 dollars per tonne, DAP hs been reduced to $827 per tonne and urea is $650 dollars per tonne.
Ravensdown says in some cases products such as superphosphate are being sold below their purchase costs, which will have an impact on the full year's earnings.
However, there will be price increases for potash and potassium sulphate.
The company says the increase can be partly blamed on potash suppliers keeping up prices.
The country's other big fertiliser co-operative, Ballance Agri-nutrients, also lowered the price of some of its products again last week.
