Concern over the global financial crisis has fallen, according to the latest UMR survey.

Of the 750 people surveyed, 61% were concerned about the impact of recession on the economy in late August, compared to 72% in June.

Concern about the impact of the financial crisis on living standards also dropped, from 54% in June to 48%, the lowest level since October.

The survey showed 48% of respondents were worried about their job security, and 51% believe the worst is not yet over.

UMR says the situation is fragile and the results must be treated with caution.
