CTU says workers bullied by 90-day law

Council of Trade Unions president Helen Kelly says the 90-day probationary period for new workers has led to bullying and unfairness.

Addressing the Labour Party's annual conference in Rotorua this weekend, Ms Kelly said the CTU has represented some workers who have been treated unfairly.

She says people are scared that if they speak out they will not get another job and this hides the unfairness and bullying culture that this law has created.

Ms Kelly says the Government has created an environment where the employer is king.
