NZ netballers win final test

The Silver Ferns have trumped Australia 52-36 to avoid a fourth straight loss to the world champions.

Shooter Irene van Dyk produced her best performance of the series during win at Auckland's Vector Arena on Wednesday.

She scored 33 goals at 92% to win player of the match in her 100th appearance for New Zealand.

The winning margin was the third biggest over Australia.

New Zealand were ahead at every break, winning the second quarter by 8 points to lead by 11 at half time.

Australia already had an unbeatable lead in the five-Test series, but Wednesday's result closed the margin to 3-2.
