Dust haze easing along Queensland coast

11:52 am on 27 September 2009

The Australian weather bureau says a dust haze across south-east Queensland is moving up the central coast and gradually easing.

The ABC reports it is the second dust storm in four days - but not as severe as an earlier storm on Wednesday which was dubbed "Red Dawn" in Sydney. It was considered one of the worst in decades.

The bureau said on Sunday morning that horizontal visibility was currently about 10km, after being down to 1km on Saturday.
