Australia's federal opposition says dodgy insulation companies are putting lives at risk in the mad rush to get a slice of the Government's $A2.7 insulation programme.
Home owners can receive rebates of up to $A1,600 for ceiling insulation as part of the Government's economic stimulus package.

He says cowboy operators have placed insulation over hot transformers connected to halogen downlights.
Mr Hunt called for an immediate auditor general's inquiry and said the insulation installation must be urgently checked.
