Coroner asked to look into cyclist's death

The police in Bay of Plenty have asked the coroner to look into the death of a cyclist near Mount Maunganui.
A jogger spotted the body of a man lying face down on rocks at Matapihi on the shore of Tauranga Harbour just after 6am on Monday. A bicycle was found nearby.
The police say he's been identified as a 48-year-old local man.
They say there are no suspicious circumstances.
