The pharmacy group Life Pharmacy has made a profit of $1.2 million in the six months to September, reflecting the tie up with rival Pharmacybrands.
Life Pharmacy made $190,000 before one-off merger costs, compared to a $415,000 loss in the same period a year ago, while Pharmacybrands profit rose 21% to $1.4 million.
Life Pharmacy chief executive Alan Wham says revenue fell slightly to $6.7 million due to the timing of contributions from suppliers to its marketing programme.
The combined group has over 250 Unichem, Amcal, Life Pharmacy and Care Chemist stores.
