Help from public needed to find bank robbers

Updated at 10:08am on 7 December 2009

Police in Hamilton are seeking help from the public to find three men after a bank was robbed in the suburb of Chartwell on Saturday morning.

Two men, wearing dark hooded sweatshirts and bandanas around their faces entered the KiwiBank branch at Chartwell just after 10am.

Customers were ordered to lie on the floor and a firearm was pointed at bank staff.

A third man was waiting outside in a grey Nissan hatchback which had earlier been stolen.

The car was later found abandoned nearby.
