A Morrinsville man has been charged with shooting a young woman with a sawn-off air rifle.
The 19-year-old woman was wounded in the town on Thursday night.
She was taken to Waikato Hospital and later discharged.
The police say her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
The 25-year-old accused is due to appear in the Hamilton District Court on Monday.
