Members of a Sensible Sentencing Trust campaign will mark White Rose Day on Boxing Day, in remembrance of people killed by drunk or drugged drivers.
Families who are part of the Crossroads campaign mark the day in various ways, including laying white roses at accident sites.
Malcolm and Sharlene Barnett's daughter Krystal was killed by a drugged driver on River Road in Upper Hutt in 2005.
They believe longer prison sentences would make drivers think twice about getting behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
They also want a quick judicial process so there will be no repeat crimes in the interim.
