Prominent people to promote saving

The Retirement Commission has enlisted the help of prominent New Zealanders to encourage people to save.

The commission's website, Sorted, will feature savings tips from radio host Kerre Woodham, former All Black Michael Jones and champion rower, Eric Murray, among others.

Retirement Commissioner Diana Crossan says she hopes their messages will encourage people to set goals and start saving.

She says 2009 was a hard year financially for many New Zealanders.
