The Fire Service says every precaution people take in their homes to prevent fires should be taken when living outside during the summer.
Fire risk manager George Stephens says boats, caravans, mobile homes and even tents should be checked for fire risks.
He says they should all be equipped with smoke alarms, even the tents, if they have light bulbs and people cook in them.
