The trial of a French teaching assistant, arrested on spying charges in Iran, is drawing to a close.
Clotilde Reiss is accused of taking part in a Western plot to destabilise the Iranian government, in the days following the country's election in June last year.
Her lawyer, Mohammad Ali Mahdavi-Sabet, was quoted on the semi-official Fars News Agency as saying he hopes she'll be exonerated at a final session, expected later this week.
Ms Reiss was arrested as she prepared to leave Iran after a five-month stint working at the University of Isfahan.
She has been released on bail and is staying at the French embassy.
