Barlow before Parole Board for third time

8:28 pm on 16 February 2010

Convicted double killer John Barlow will have his third hearing before the Parole Board this week.

Barlow was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the 1994 killings of Wellington father and son businessmen Eugene and Gene Thomas.

He was denied parole at a hearing in March last year because the board said he continued to pose an unsafe risk to the safety of the community.

The Parole Board's decision will be announced next week.
