A mercury spill at Dairy New Zealand in Hamilton has been contained.
The Fire Service says the spill happened in a laboratory when a barometer got knocked off the wall during renovation work on Friday.
It says a couple of people who came in contact with the mercury have been checked by medical staff.
Firefighters have put a neutraliser in the small area, which has been closed off until Saturday.
