Consumer borrowing rose slightly in March, with demand for mortgages offsetting a fall in personal loans.
Figures from the Reserve Bank show household borrowing rose 0.1% to $180 million.
Housing-related borrowing rose 3.3% compared with March last year, while consumer borrowing fell 4%.
