Infratil says patronage fell at Wellington international airport in March compared with a year ago.
The number of domestic travellers fell, mainly on regional routes, offsetting more travelling from overseas.
In Britain, Glasgow Prestwick airport experienced falling patronage and freight volumes, while Kent airport saw stronger freight volumes.
Patronage rose in March at Infratil's New Zealand Bus arm.
