A women's rights advocate says women are still being discriminated against in the workplace, despite a charter that was set up 30 years ago to help achieve equal rights.
The New Zealand Working Women's Charter was the topic of a seminar in Welllington on Saturday, to mark its 30th anniversary. More than 100 women attended.
One of the organisers, Hazel Armstrong, says 11 of the 16 charter goals have been achieved.
However, she says women are still discriminated against when it comes to being promoted and there is a sizeable pay gap between men and women.
