A Pakistani-American accused of planting a car bomb in Times Square in New York has been charged with terrorism.
Faisal Shahzad was arrested at New York's John F Kennedy International Airport on Monday as he tried to board a flight to Dubai.
The 30-year-old has been charged with attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction to kill people.
He also faces charges of attempting to kill people through international terrorism, carrying a destructive device, and transporting explosives.
According to a criminal complaint filed in a US District Court in New York, the accused has admitted he tried to detonate a bomb in Times Square on Saturday night.
US prosecutors said the 30-year-old had admitted receiving bomb-making training in Pakistan.
