The Government says the Defence Force is overstocked with light armoured vehicles.
The vehicles, which can protect crews from most bullets and some mines and artillery splinters, are similar to those used to transport soldiers from Canada, the United States, Australia and Denmark.
A spokesperson from the office of Defence Minister Wayne Mapp says the Defence Force has 105 of the vehicles, 33 of which are in deep storage.
The spokesperson says the Defence Force only needs about 70 to 80 in stock, but no decision will be made on whether they should be sold until after a defence review.
The review is due out by the end of September.
