A hotel in a small North Canterbury town was robbed by a firearm carrying man, who also tied up the owner with tape, late on Saturday night.
A man wearing a balaclava and dark clothing took money and cans of bourbon and cola from the Leithfield Hotel, in Leithfield.
He then left through a window.
Rangiora police want to hear from anyone with information about the robbery.
