The body responsible for co-ordinating the vocational training needs of many land-based industries is changing the way it operates.
The Primary Sector Group of seven primary sector organisations works to improve the skill levels in their industries, which collectively employ almost a quarter of a million people.
Chairman Ian Boyd says the new approach will harmonise qualifications and provide more career opportunities for workers, who will be able to transfer their skills to new jobs more easily.
