Honda vehicles in NZ not affected by recall

Honda New Zealand says its vehicles do not have the defect that resulted in the recall of more than 428,000 cars in the United States and Canada.

The motor company is recalling Accord, Civic and Element models from 2003 and 2004, after a fault was discovered that could cause the cars to roll away if parked incorrectly.

Honda New Zealand says the flawed vehicles were manufactured in North American workshops, while New Zealand's cars come from Japan.
