A man found lying in a ditch in Wairoa earlier in the week has died in Hawke's Bay hospital.
The 19-year-old was seen wandering around in a distressed state near the Lambton Square Memorial park on Tuesday morning, shortly before he collapsed.
He was admitted to hospital suffering head injuries.
A spokesperson for the district health board says the man died from a spontaneous brain haemorrhage, which was the result of a medical condition.
