The final piece of a broadcasting band wanted by Maori has been snapped up by Telecom.
The Government has been auctioning portions of the 700 megahertz spectrum, which became free after the nationwide switch to digital television.
Some Maori claimants have been campaigning to be given a block of the band, something that has been recommended by the Waitangi Tribunal.
But the Crown has ignored the calls from its Treaty partners.
The final part of the spectrum - which will be used for a new generation of mobile phone technology - has been bought by Telecom for $95 million.
Blocks making up the 700 megahertz radio spectrum are now owned by Telecom, Vodafone and 2degrees.
