Otago University's Acting Director of Maori Development says the first ever Maori-focused edition of the university's annual research highlights is a major boost for Maori.
He Kitenga Maori provides a snapshot of outstanding research across all the university's disciplines.
Janine Kapa expects the publication will create waves throughout New Zealand and overseas.
She says the research highlights of the past year, by staff and students, cover everything from pharmacy to dentistry, surveying, law, business and Maori health.
Ms Kapa says the launch of He Kitenga Maori is really exciting, and gives the university the chance to put a stick in the ground about the huge range of research Maori are involved in.
