Mexican police have found an arsenal of weapons thought to belong to drug traffickers, after a nine-year old boy took a gun to school in the northern city of Hermosillo.

The BBC is reporting that classmates saw the gun and alerted police, who raided the boy's home after confiscating the weapon.

They found 13,000 rounds of ammunition, pistols and assault rifles, as well as portable radios and money-counting machines.
