A man convicted of smuggling in Sweden has outwitted authorities by sneaking in a friend to serve most of his prison sentence.
Swedish media reported that the 37-year-old from Gothenborg paid the friend to serve the year-long jail term.
Prison officials say they only discovered the real identity of the man in their custody when he was released.
