House destroyed in NSW storm

At least one house was destroyed by a tornado in New South Wales after severe thunderstorms on Saturday.

The ABC reports the storm occurred near Armidale at about 4pm (AEST). Winds and rain kept the State Emergency Service busy, with almost 200 calls for help.

The State Emergency Services said the worst of the damage was in the north west of the state.

A number of houses near Guyra had minor damage. There were no reports of injuries.
