A bomb blast in Bahrain has killed a police officer.
The Interior ministry said the officer died in hospital from wounds sustained in what it described as a terrorist act in a village south of the capital, Manama.
The Sunni-ruled island kingdom in the Gulf has been hit by unrest since protests by the majority Shi'ite community were forcefully quashed three years ago, the BBC reports.
