The Australian teenager attempting to become the youngest person to sail solo around the world has successfully navigated around Cape Horn - which is known as the 'sailor's graveyard'.
Jessica Watson, 16, is almost at the halfway mark of her voyage, defying critics who pressured her parents not to let her go.
A spokesperson Andrew Fraser, who has spoken to Miss Watson via sattelite phone, says she has gone a long way to achieving her dream, and her critics now have "mud on their faces".
