ICC chief prosecutor in Kenya

More than 1300 people were killed when the country imploded.

International Criminal Court chief prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo is in Kenya to investigate the violence which followed disputed elections in 2008.

More than 1300 people were killed when the country imploded.

The BBC reports a tribunal was later set up investigate and prosecute the perpetrators, but so far, no-one has been punished.

During his five-day tour, Mr Moreno-Ocampo will meet victims of the upheavals and senior government officials.

Mr Moreno-Ocampo says the overall goal of his mission is to ensure there is no repeat of the troubles during 2012 elections.
