Police in New South Wales are still searching for a New Zealand man in connection with a bashing that left the victim permanently brain-damaged.
In court in Sydney on Wedesday, Thomas Isaako was sentenced to 19 years in prison for attacking Irishman David Keohane two years ago, and for a second attack on a student.
Mr Keohane was unconscious for 218 days with multiple facial and skull fractures. He will be in a wheelchair the rest of his life.
The court heard another man was with Isaako on the night of the attack,
Superintendent Gavin Dengate says police want to talk to New Zealand-born Kane Tupuolamaoui.
