The bodies of 17 people who died in the Christmas Island boat tragedy have arrived in Sydney.
At least 39 asylum seekers died when their boat hit rocks and broke apart 15 December when the boat was smashed at Rocky Point.
The ABC reports 17 bodies arrived by freight plane in Sydney on Saturday night and were transported to a funeral home.
