Teargas fired at opposition supporters

Police in Uganda have fired teargas to disperse supporters of opposition leader Kizza Besigye as President Yoweri Museveni was being sworn in for a fourth term.

Mr Besigye arrived home on Thursday from hospital in Kenya.

He was injured two weeks ago when police detained him over protests against rising fuel and food prices and has been arrested four times since April.

Mr Museveni has been in power for 25 years. He was re-elected in February, but Mr Besigye and other opposition leaders say the vote was rigged.

Mr Museveni blames the rising prices on drought and global increases in crude oil prices.
