An exodus of refugees from Syria into Turkey is continuing to build,

with nearly 7000 people now reported to have crossed the border.

Most are fleeing a new push by the Syrian army, which is reportedly arresting hundreds of people in northern Syria.

The BBC reports hundreds more people are massed at the border, waiting for the army's next move.

Many are reluctant to abandon their vehicles or livestock and will cross only if the army advances into the area. Others are waiting for relatives.

On the Turkish side, two camps are already full of refugees and a third is filling rapidly.
