Food and other emergency supplies will be airlifted to flooded properties in north western New South Wales from Monday.

Helicopters will drop food, medical supplies and baby products into isolated areas until the water subsides, which is expected to be later in the week.

Up to 300 properties around Moree are isolated by floodwaters, about six have been inundated and the rest have been sand bagged. Many residents have been ordered to evacuate.

The ABC reports flooding is also affecting towns further south at Gundagai and Wee Waa.

in a statement on Sunday night, the State Emergency Service said:

"Do not delay your evacuation. The roads may be congested or closed."
