Director: Nicole Hunt

Nicole Hunt (Ngā Tūhoe & Te Arawa) is a photographer and aspiring filmmaker based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Born and raised in the beautiful but troubled town of Kawerau, her upbringing let her to realise the power storytelling has for marginalised voices. She is a recent graduate of South Seas Film & Television school and is the director of the short documentary Aute.

Producer: Eden Vawdrey

Eden Vawdrey is a Samoan producer and assistant director whose passion for telling Pasifika and Māori stories has allowed her to explore the indigenous histories of Aotearoa as well as connect her to her Samoan roots. As well as producing Aute the documentary, Eden is the 2nd AD on Aitu, a Pacific anthology film series and is mentoring for Youngatira, a leadership through film programme by and for Rangatahi Māori.

Director of Photography: Joe Hitchcock

Joe Hitchcock has worked on everything from big budget blockbusters to small independent features. He has travelled the Pacific shooting climate change documentaries and is interested in telling cinematic stories from a unique perspective. In the last year he has directed photography for Māori drama series Ahikāroa, directed sketch comedy show Only in Aotearoa and directed Kiribati documentary Suspended Generation.
