Pianist Diedre Irons pays tribute to violinist Jan Tawroszewicz who died at his Christchurch home on Saturday. The Polish musician raised musicianship to a new level in this country after he arrived to teach at the University of Canterbury in 1985. Diedre formed the Canterbury Trio with Jan and Alexander Ivashkin and talks about the sublime performances they shared.
