Palau has experienced an increase of reported dengue fever cases in recent weeks.
The Pacific Daily news reports that from the 1st to the 26th of August, 39 confirmed and two suspect cases were confirmed, including 30 cases that required hospital admission.
This is three times the total of 13 dengue cases reported in July.
The Palau Ministry of Health says the majority of the cases have been elementary or high school students.
