Undie FiveHundy: Mokau

From Country Life, 9:30 pm on 7 September 2018

The lights may be out at the Mokau butchery and the door locked, but it doesn't mean you can't buy a sausage or two for tea.

For the 28 years local butcher Graham Putt has been working behind the bacon slicer, he's been happy to help customers out after hours.

Just come to the house behind the shop and he'll see what he can do.

Mokau's a seaside town on the main road north of New Plymouth.

It's dotted with quintessential kiwi baches, is famous for its museum and whitebait fritters and has a grand total of 75 permanent residents.
