National wants private managed isolation facilities

The National Party is promising to boost the capacity of managed isolation facilities, by allowing private accomodation providers to join the Government-controlled network.

The party's deputy leader, Gerry Brownlee, announced the new details of its border policy this morning, which included a booking system for the managed isolation facilities and investigating shorter isolation periods for people arriving from Covid-free countries.
