President Trump has been telling close staff that he plans to pardon himself.
According to the New York Times he has specifically asked about the legal implications of such a presidential pardon and of issuing them to his family members.
However it is unclear whether a president can in fact pardon themself. Brent Budowsky a columnist for The Hill speaks to Philippa Tolley.
