Hungary proud to put first chink in Iron Curtain

Hungarian New Zealanders gathered around the country this weekend to commemorate the sixtieth anniversary of the 1956 uprising against communist rule. 1,100 refugees came to New Zealand when Russian troops crushed the revolt, forcing 200,000 to flee the country.
