The driver of a car that collided with a tourist bus near Akaroa is still in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital.

After the collision the bus plunged down a bank injuring dozens of passengers.
The passengers on the bus were all from the cruise ship Celebrity Solstice.
Both drivers and six American passengers were taken to Christchurch Hospital... Overnight 4 of the passengers have since been discharged, 1 man is still in a serious situation and 2 others are stable.
